Busy Busy Busy!!!

Last month was incredible and so far, it’s looking like pretty much the same for both January and February with Recordings heading our way with John Mackie, Ben Macfie, The Dusk, Anja Moncrieff, Minoans and a few others that I can’t remember now (sorry! :))

Work is well underway to refit all the acoustic treatment with H&H acoustics (they did Wembley stadium you know and the BBC building in Salford), the measurements have been done for the vocal room/dead room and the corner absorbers are currently in production as well as plans and measurements for the panels, doors and the other bits which will make the vocal both an astounding place to record! This coupled with 8 inputs and 4 returns to the vocal booth (tie lined to the main live room) mean that there are lots and lots of options when you’re recording.

If you want to call in for a brew or a look / listen just drop us a message on the Facebook page, email info@project9studio.co.uk or gve us a call on 0160675482

Thanks,

Andy

Andrew William Spence, Deadbeat Echoes and sE Electronics!

A photo that was recently taken at a session for Deadbeat Echoes has been used by microphone, monitor and studio equipment manufacturer sE Electronics for their online and physical promotional campaign!

This is great news for us and and for the band, with the record due out towards the end of this year, it’s a great time for a profile boost!

We’re over the moon to have the association with sE Electronics, they are a fantastic bunch with an equally brill range of equipment and a great ethos. More to follow as and when things happen!

A great Session today with Bev Oakes who’s over from Florida, Guitar tracking through this amazing set up, what else could we compliment such a fantastic sounding amp & Echo unit with other than the sE Electronics Ribbon RNR1, this mic has quickly grown to be the goto mic on guitar cabs!

We had a great session last Sunday, recording the guys from Our Innocence lost with co vocals from Sam Lyon. They were in recording an acoustic cover of one of the bands songs for a forthcoming release.

We were lucky enough to have a great session musician in the studio today, Trish Watt. We recorded a minimalistic acoustic guitar part on a very nice sounding Martin!
